ΗΠΑ: Αποχώρηση από 66 διεθνείς οργανισμούς με εντολή Τραμπ
Στις 7 Ιανουαρίου 2026 ο Λευκός Οίκος δημοσίευσε απόφαση που δίνει εντολή στις ομοσπονδιακές υπηρεσίες να κινήσουν «άμεσα» διαδικασίες ώστε οι ΗΠΑ να αποσυρθούν (και να διακόψουν χρηματοδότηση και συμμετοχή, όπου επιτρέπεται) από 66 διεθνείς οργανισμούς, φορείς, επιτροπές, συμβάσεις και πρωτοβουλίες. Η κίνηση βασίζεται σε ανασκόπηση που είχε ζητηθεί με το Executive Order 14199 (4 Φεβρουαρίου 2025), με κριτήριο ότι οι συγκεκριμένοι φορείς κρίθηκαν «αντίθετοι προς τα συμφέροντα των ΗΠΑ».
Η απόφαση χωρίζει τη λίστα σε 35 φορείς εκτός ΟΗΕ και 31 φορείς του συστήματος του ΟΗΕ. Για τις οντότητες του ΟΗΕ, «απόσυρση» ορίζεται ως παύση συμμετοχής ή/και χρηματοδότησης στον βαθμό που επιτρέπει ο νόμος, ενώ για αρκετούς οργανισμούς στην πράξη απαιτείται και τυπική διαδικασία αποχώρησης (κάτι που ήδη υπενθύμισαν ορισμένοι φορείς δημοσίως).
